Maryland Peer Workforce Needs Assessment
Peer professionals bring lived experience, practical knowledge, trust, and specialised skills to behavioural health, recovery, reentry, public health, harm reduction, and community services. Right now there is very little consistent information about their working conditions, supervision, protections, and chances to advance. This survey is how we start changing that.
Who is running this, and why?
Odenkyem-Wade Limited (OWL) is running this needs assessment to understand the experiences of Maryland's peer workforce — and of the people who supervise, employ, train, and advocate alongside peer professionals. What we learn may help shape Maryland Advocates for Peer Support (MAPS), a proposed peer-led workforce advocacy and professional-support initiative starting in Baltimore City.
How long does this take?
About 12–15 minutes. Your answers are saved on this device as you go, so you can close the tab and come back to finish later.
What is this survey NOT?
This is for workforce assessment and planning only. It is not a complaint process, a legal service, a clinical or crisis service, or an ethics investigation. If you need urgent help, please contact the appropriate service directly.
What about my privacy?
You can skip any question and stop at any time. Unless you choose to give contact details at the very end, your answers are not used to identify you. Please do not include names or details that could identify a client, colleague, supervisor, or employer.
How long do you keep my response?
Responses are automatically deleted about six months after they are received. Aggregate findings — counts and themes with nothing that identifies anyone — may be kept and published beyond that. If you give contact details, those are stored with your response and deleted on the same schedule.
